What Is CBD?
Cannabidiol, which is more commonly known as CBD, is one of many different chemical compounds known as cannabinoids that can be found within the cannabis sativa plant. CBD is often extracted from the hemp variety of the plant, with the most common approach being to use a co2 extraction method. It’s the hemp plant which is most commonly used as it contains a small amount of the THC cannabinoid but large amounts of CBD. Once extracted, it is then combined with a carrier oil like MCT oil or hemp oil in order to create what is known as CBD oil. Although it can often be misunderstood for being illegal or being able to get you high, these are both false assumptions. CBD products are completely legal so long as they contain less than 0.2% of THC, and such a small amount of THC is unable to cause a high.
What Is 10% CBD Oil?
10% CBD oil refers to the percentage of CBD within the oil. For example, a 10% CBD oil in a 10ml bottle would contain 1000mg of CBD, whereas a 10% CBD oil in a 30ml bottle would contain 3000mg of CBD.
How Do I Take CBD Oil?
CBD oil is most commonly taken sublingually by placing a couple of droplets underneath the tongue. This allows the CBD to pass into the bloodstream through the blood vessels beneath the tongue, which is one of the quickest methods of consumption. Some people also choose to take CBD oils by mixing them into their favourite foods and drinks. It should be noted that the CBD will take longer to feel the effects if it’s consumed this way, owing to the fact it has to pass through the digestive system before entering the bloodstream.
What Does CBD Oil Taste Like?
In its natural form, CBD oil is often described as having a grassy or earth like flavour. If you’re not keen on this flavour then there are a few alternative ways to mask it. Firstly, you could opt for one of our many flavoured CBD oil products. They come in a range of exciting flavours which mask the grassy like taste and leave a pleasant taste in your mouth. Or, you can mix CBD oil into your favourite foods and drinks. But, be mindful that it will take longer to feel the effects if you consume it this way.
What’s The Difference Between Full & Broad Spectrum CBD Oil?
It’s important to understand the difference between broad and full spectrum CBD before you decide which is the right product for you. Full spectrum oils contain the full spectrum of cannabinoids and natural terpenes, including the THC cannabinoid. On the other hand, broad spectrum CBD oil products have the THC completely removed during the extraction process. This makes broad spectrum products the best choice for people who are concerned about consuming THC. On the other hand, users of full spectrum CBD products claim they can provide an entourage effect. This is the belief that the CBD and THC work together to provide a greater effect than the CBD would have on its own.
How Many Drops of 10% CBD Oil Should I Use?
How many drops you should use will depend on each individual and so we can’t provide a definitive answer, although each product may come provided with a suggestion. Roughly, one drop of 10% CBD oil will contain around 4mg of CBD, and so we would not recommend consuming more than 17 drops as this would put you over the maximum daily recommended amount of 70mg. If you’re new to CBD then it is always best to start with a low number of drops before slowly increasing your dosage over time.
How Long Will It Take To Feel The Effects?
How long it takes to feel the effects of CBD oil will depend on the method of consumption, but also on individual factors that differ for each person such as weight and height. Roughly though, when consumed sublingually you will begin to feel the effects within around half an hour, but when ingested it will take a little longer and the effects will take over an hour to be felt.
How Long Will The Effects Last?
If you use CBD oil sublingually, which is the most popular method of consumption, the effects will roughly last around 4-6 hours. On the other hand, when ingested the effects of CBD oil will last for slightly longer, usually around 6-8 hours. This is only a rough estimate, however, and the effects will vary from person to person depending on a number of different factors such as your weight and height, but also on how much CBD you consume.
Is CBD Oil Vegan?
Not all of our CBD products are vegan, but those which are will be clearly labelled on the product page.
Are CBD Oils Legal In The UK?
Yes, all of the CBD oil products we sell including our 10% CBD oils are 100% legal within the UK. UK laws state that all CBD products must contain less than 0.2% THC. THC is the psychoactive and illegal substance found in cannabis. With such a small amount of THC it is not enough to cause any psychoactive effects

Is CBD Safe?
CBD has been classified as safe for human consumption by the World Health Organisation. It is important you don’t take too much though, so we would only recommend a maximum of 70mg per day. We would also suggest you speak to your doctor or a healthcare professional before taking CBD in order to ensure it is safe for you.
Does CBD Oil Have Any Side Effects?
Although there are no reported serious side effects of using CBD oil, it’s important to remember that everyone’s bodies are different and people will react differently to each and every product. Some minor side effects may occur such as drowsiness or diarrhea, however this is usually only if too much CBD is consumed. This stresses the importance of starting with a low dosage and slowly building your way up. Additionally, we always recommend that you speak to your GP or a healthcare professional before introducing CBD to your diet.
Can 10% CBD Oil Get Me High?
No, our 10% CBD oil products will not get you high, nor will any of our CBD products. The substance that creates the high feeling in cannabis is called THC. There is an extremely low trace of THC (up to 0.2%) in CBD products which is nowhere near enough to cause you to feel a high.
