5% CBD Oil
What Is CBD?
Cannabidiol, which is more commonly abbreviated to CBD, is one of many different compounds found within the cannabis sativa plant known as cannabinoids. CBD is most commonly extracted from the hemp variety of the cannabis sativa plant using a co2 extraction process, as the hemp plant contains large amounts of the cannabidiol cannabinoid, and small amounts of the THC cannabinoid. At this point, it is important to distinguish the difference between CBD and THC. CBD is a non-psychoactive substance which does not cause users to experience a high, whereas THC is psychoactive and causes users to experience a high. All CBD products must contain less than 0.2% THC in order to remain legal within the UK. Such a low THC content is nowhere enough to cause users of CBD products to experience a high. Cannabidiol is used in a range of different products but is most commonly mixed with a carrier oil such as hemp oil, olive oil or MCT oil in order to create what is known as CBD oil. Although early research into CBD is encouraging, it is just that, early research. More research is needed into order to be able to make the medical claims which some companies make, so at The CBD Planet UK we make no medical claims about our products and sell them as food supplements.
What Is 5% CBD Oil?
5% CBD oil contains a 5% CBD concentration. The percentage refers to the percent of CBD within the oil. For example, a 5% CBD oil in a 10ml bottle would contain 500mg of CBD, whereas in a 30ml bottle it would contain 1500mg of CBD.
Is 5% CBD Oil Good?

What Flavour CBD Oil Drops Are There?
The majority of our CBD oil drops have a natural hemp flavour and do not contain any added flavouring. However, some people find this taste unpleasant and plant-like, and so we do have a small range of flavoured CBD oils to choose from. Select from a variety of fun and fruity flavours inclduing orange and apple.
How Do I Take 5% CBD Oils?
5% CBD oils are taken in exactly the same way as all other CBD oil drops. You can either consume them sublingually or add them to your favourite food or drink.
To take them sublingually, simply place a couple of drops under the tongue and hold them there for around 90 seconds. This will allow the CBD to be absorbed through the blood vessels beneath the tongue and from there enter the bloodstream. As the CBD does not have to be digested it means it can be felt far quicker than if you were to use CBD edibles.
As for adding CBD oil to your favourite foods or drinks, the possibilities are endless but we recommend checking out some recipes online before trying it yourself.
Is CBD Oil Legal In The UK?
Yes, CBD oil is legal within the UK. In order for CBD oils to be legal in the UK they must contain less than 0.2% THC. THC is the psychoactive substance found within the cannabis plant that causes users to experience a high. All of our CBD oils contain less than 0.2% THC and are therefore legal under UK law.
Will CBD Oil Get Me High?
No, CBD oil will not get you high. It’s a common misconception that CBD causes users to experience a high due to its association with cannabis. However, it is the THC within cannabis which causes users to experience a high. As CBD products contain less than 0.2% THC this is therefore too small an amount to cause you to experience a high. You can therefore consume all CBD oils safely without having to worry about any psychoactive effects.
Is CBD Oil Safe?
Yes, CBD oil is safe and has been classified as safe for human consumption by the World Health Organisation. However, it is important to be careful when dosing, as consuming too much CBD could result in unwanted minor side effects such as drowsiness and diarrhea. It is also important to consult your doctor or a medical professional before consuming CBD to ensure that it is right for you.
Can CBD Oil Help Anxiety?
No, our 5% CBD oil products are food supplements and are not designed to treat, prevent or cure anxiety or any other mental health condition. Should you be experiencing anxiety we would recommend you consult your doctor.
What Carrier Oil Is Used In Your Products?
Our wide range of products means we have 5% CBD oils which contain MCT oil, hemp oil or olive oil as their carrier oil. Just take your pick from whichever your prefer.
Is Broad Spectrum CBD Oil or Full Spectrum CBD Oil Better?
Whether broad spectrum or full spectrum 5% CBD oil is better is down to personal preference. Full spectrum CBD oil contains the full spectrum of cannabinoids and natural terpenes, meaning it can contain up to 0.2% THC. This makes it preferable for people who want to benefit from the entourage effect. The entourage effect is the belief that the CBD and THC work together to provide a greater effect than the CBD would have on its own. Broad spectrum oils contain natural terpenes but only a broad spectrum of cannabinoids, meaning the THC is completely removed during the extraction process. This makes them great for people who are concerned about THC entering their system.
